ALL IN ONE INTEGRATION

One of the challenges Architects and Engineers have had through the years when designing is how to provide a beautiful product that can be constructed, while mantaining safety, functionality, security, maximization of resources such as natural lighting, energy efficiency, among others. Now more than ever the industry is turning to the use of ecofriendly approaches and materials and the combination of them to maintain clean lines, no matter if it is on traditional or modern styles.

We can provide that kind of approach, integrating home security, energy savings, noise reduction, weather protection and privacy with the window of your preference. And that can be done in almost any kind of window style, traditional or modern.

ROLL-UP SHUTTERS

A WALL OF SECURITY AT THE TOUCH OF A BUTTON

ENERGY SAVINGS THAT ADD UP QUICKLY

Roll-up Shutters reduce your energy cost year-round, keeping you cooler in summer and warmer in winter. By creating dead air space between glass and shutter, you insulate your home against heat gain and heat loss. In fact, Roll-up Shutters improve your home’s insulation factor by as much as 63%, reducing your heating and cooling cost day after day after day… over time you can even pay for your shutters with the money you save.

CERTAIN PROTECTION IN UNCERTAIN WEATHER

Nature has never been so unpredictable. Storms that appear out of nowhere. Tornadoes, hurricanes, blizzards that pack high winds, thunderstorms filled with golf ball size hail, – the list is as endless as it is dangerous. Events like these make Roll-up Shutters and absolute necessity – providing a safe haven in the face of nature’s wrath. That’s because each Shutter is constructed of heavy extruded aluminum with corrosion proof stainless steel gears and fasteners. In fact, our Shutters have withstood the test of time and nature in
many installations and are still going strong.
Manufactured in Fort Myers, Florida and distributed from Puerto Rico our shutters can also be found installed trough the Caribbean. With over twenty years of experience behind it all, It’s no wonder Positive Solutions is the number one choice in storm and security shutter systems.

¨END RETENTION¨ SHUTTER SYSTEM

A Wall Of Security-PSC Presentation INFO PARA PAGINA INTERNET22The most challenging aspect of designing a rolling shutter system that is capable of providing protection from high wind pressure created during violent storms such as hurricanes is the width or ´span´ of the shutter.
The major span limitation of a standard rolling shutter is that a sufficiently strong wind force causes the slats to bow excessively, thereby dislodging them from the sidetracks. Most products, if made narrow enough, can provide adequate high wind protection; however, designing a storm protection rolling shutter that is capable of spanning more than five or six feet without the need for vertical support to prevent slat dislodgement requires a very special kind of shutter.

A Wall Of Security-PSC Presentation INFO PARA PAGINA INTERNET33The “End-retention” system employs a retention assembly that prevents disengagement of the slats from the sidetrack even in hurricane force winds. The retention assembly consists of extruded aluminum, or aluminum reinforced PVC slats, stainless steel retention screws on both sides, and side track with stop elements that are uniquely configured to retain the screws within. The retention screws are designed to engage the stop elements only when the wind force against the shutter causes the slats to bow, thereby preventing dislodgement. The end result is that this unique system can span three to four times as much as a regular rolling shutter system without the need for vertical supports, thus eliminating physical and visual obstructions.
